BLUE RODEO

Drill Hall RBC Stage
Saturday, June 28, 7:30pm
Now celebrating their 40th anniversary, Blue Rodeo has proven to be one of Canada’s most enduring and influential bands. With over four million albums sold, 12 JUNO Awards, and inductions into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Base31 is thrilled to welcome them to the Drill Hal RBC Stage!

Formed in Toronto, Blue Rodeo electrified the supercool Queen West scene before dominating Canada’s soft-seaters and arenas. With over four million albums sold and thousands of shows performed, they have become a national treasure. Their impact on rock and country music is undeniable and the band has created a body of work that stands as a benchmark in Canadian music, weaving deeply resonant, distinctly Canadian stories that have influenced countless songwriters. From their breakout single Try to their beloved album Five Days in July, their music remains a vital part of Canada’s cultural fabric. As frontman Jim Cuddy reflects, “When you look back, you realize it’s just been this beautiful dream.”

What could be more Canadian than experiencing the magic of Blue Rodeo this Canada Day weekend? This is a performance you won’t want to miss.

Base31 is set to bring history to life this Canada Day weekend with the opening of its 18,000 square foot Exhibition Hall. This new space is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the site’s 14,000-year human history, its impact on the local community and its broader national and global significance.

The Exhibition Hall will feature blockbuster artifact Lancaster Bomber KB 882, on loan from the National Air Force Museum of Canada. With more than 40 WWII-era buildings still standing across the 70-acre site, Base31 is a unique open-air museum.
