THE PICTON SUMMER LOOP

Base31 is thrilled to announce a partnership with County Transit and Quinte Transit to create the Picton Summer Loop – an extension of the already existing public transit service within Picton.

The Picton Summer Loop is a weekend service that provides transportation to 10 stops across Picton every 30 minutes and will run on Fridays from 5pm to 12 midnight, Saturdays from 11am – 12 midnight, and Sundays 3pm – 9pm.

Dates of Operation

The Picton Summer Loop will be operating from May 24 – September 8

Route

Major stops include: Metro, The Waring House, Base31, Macaulay Museum, The Harbourview Centre, Crystal Palace, Paul St. at Barker St., Paul St. at King St., King St. at Ross St., and King St. at Elizabeth St.

Fares

The fare structure for the Loop will be the same as the County Transit intra-city fare:

  • $3.50 per adult
  • $2.50 for seniors (55+), students (elementary, high school or postsecondary), and registered specialized service clients (people with disabilities).
  • $1.75 for children 6-11
  • No charge for children 5 and under

County Transit fares can currently be paid by cash, County Transit monthly and two-week passes and pre-paid tickets.

Base31 will be selling County Transit Tickets at the Visitor Centre and The Commissary.

Attendees of Drill Hall concerts coming from Wellington and Bloomfield can catch the shuttle at The Drake Motor Inn in Wellington, and at Slickers in Bloomfield free of charge. This service is available for all Drill Hall concerts.

Attendees of Drill Hall concerts coming from Wellington and Bloomfield can catch the shuttle at The Drake Motor Inn in Wellington, and at Slickers in Bloomfield free of charge. This service is available for all Drill Hall concerts.

BASE31 SATURDAY SHUTTLE BUS SCHEDULE

On Saturday nights, we have a FREE Shuttle Bus running to and from Wellington and Bloomfield. The bus drops you off at Base31 in two locations: The Commissary and the Drill Hall. There is a five minute delay between The Commissary and the Drill Hall.

The Wellington Shuttle picks patrons up at the Drake Motor Inn at 5:55pm, 7:05pm, and 8:15pm.

The Bloomfield Shuttle picks patrons up at Bloomfield Slickers at 6:15pm, 7:25pm, and 8:35pm.

All patrons will be able to get a return shuttle back to Bloomfield and Wellington whether you’re attending a Drill Hall concert, or spending time in The Commissary.

Return times from The Commissary include: 10pm, 10:55pm, and 11:50pm.

Return times from the Drill Hall include: 10:05pm, 11pm, and 11:55pm.

The FREE Base31 Saturday Shuttle Bus will be available exclusively for the following events:

BASE31 SHUTTLE POLICIES

  1. Alcohol is not permitted on the shuttle. Any guests who bring alcohol on the shuttle will be refused service.
  2. The shuttle is first come, first served. Please come early to wait for the shuttle, as it is not possible to reserve seats in advance.
  3. The shuttle has a strict loading time of 5 minutes per stop, and will leave at the scheduled time without exceptions.
  4. The shuttle will not make any unscheduled stops
