Base31 Launches Experience Marketplace, Not Your Traditional Market
From Fitness to Food to Family Fun
PEC Community Craft Beer Festival, Art in The County, and the PEC Studio Tour also land at this cultural destination in the making
Picton, ON — Base31 is excited to announce the launch of their new Experience Marketplace offering a wide range of activities, workshops, and classes hosted by local guest experts and enthusiasts. With something for all ages and interests, these experiences will take place weekly and on weekends at Base31 in Prince Edward County (343 County Rd 22, Picton ON). Tickets are on sale now at www.base31.ca starting at $18.
Kids programming is one of the major focuses of the Experience Marketplace, with two summer camps, weekend dance parties, and outdoor art workshops. Additionally, weekly fitness bootcamps and art workshops will be available with some of the County’s best instructors, and unique culinary experiences with guest chefs will delight the senses.
This is not your traditional market, but an opportunity to purchase tickets to experiences on site across a variety of categories, such as wellness, arts and craft, kids programming, historical tours and more.
To kick off the launch, Base31 will offer a delicious Mother’s Day experience May 14th featuring a Chocolate and Champagne tasting hosted by Christy Conte & Michelle Alfonso, followed by A Brush with Nature on May 27th, an art workshop with local potter Andrea Piller. In June, why not drop the kids off early Saturday morning at Wired for Art by Sharon Hart, so you can enjoy a quiet coffee break. Also that month the Paper Dyeing Art Series debuts, hosted by Sarah Keller, or invite a friend to Base31 for Partner Yoga with Janice Duffy. In July, enjoy a meal at the Family Art Brunch by your hosts Michelle + Felice. Also, starting in July your kids can join us for an 8-week Outdoor Summer Camp hosted by Melissa Adair, or a week long Art Explorer Camp hosted by Michelle Doran.
Over the summer, attend weekly Fitness Bootcamps by Danielle Reynolds at Base31, try your hand at Fabric Dyeing and Rug Hooking, or join a sunrise Family Dance Party hosted by Arwyn Carpenter. By the end of May, the Experience Marketplace will launch a Wellness and Culinary Series, offering both educational and interactive programming, as well as historical tours of the site. New hosted experiences will be added monthly, and the best way to learn what is on offer and what is to come is via the Base31 website and to subscribe to Base31’s weekly bulletin.
