EVENT CAMPING OPTIONS

All camping fees include two nights: Friday and Saturday. For a long weekend, you can extend your stay by adding Thursdays and Sunday nights for an additional fee.

Your camping pass includes everything you need for a comfortable and hassle-free stay:

RULES + REGULATIONS

  • All campers are expected to be courteous to those around them.
  • Campers will be asked to keep the noise down between the hours of 11 PM – 8 AM so as to not disrupt nearby campers. If you or your group has repeated noise violations, you may be subject to immediate eviction without refund.
  • All tent sites (lawn, preferred and club) are for tents only. No RV’s, trailer campers or pop-up campers are permitted in the tent sites.
  • A maximum of 4 persons is allowed per lawn tent site.
  • A maximum of 6 persons is allowed per preferred and club tent site.
  • A maximum of 8 persons is allowed per RV site.
  • The person purchasing the ticket on behalf of the group will be considered the permit holder and must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Folks who are camping in a tent or RV can check-in between 2 PM – 6 PM. Check out no later than 11 AM. More details on the check-in and check-out process will be shared closer to your camping date by email. If you are unable to arrive during the check-in window, please email [email protected].
  • All tents and shade structures must be staked into the ground.
  • Base31 is not responsible for any damages caused by inclement weather such as high winds, storms, etc.
  • Bicycles are permitted within the campground.
  • Motorcycles, golf carts or e-bikes are not permitted in the campground excluding any motorized vehicles used by individuals with mobility issues. Any person operating or riding in a motorized vehicle in the campgrounds is subject to immediate eviction without refund.
  • All vehicles and persons may be asked to show valid government-issued identification and be subject to search upon entering the campgrounds. Prohibited items must be removed or surrendered before entry is granted into the camping area.
  • Campers aged 19 or older are permitted to bring their own alcoholic beverages to their campsite. All alcohol is to be consumed at your site only. If alcohol is consumed outside of the campground, you will be subject to immediate eviction without refund.
  • No glass containers of any kind.
  • No pets are allowed in the campgrounds with the exception of service animals with current rabies vaccination.
  • The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited anywhere on-site.
  • Any item that can be used as a weapon is strictly prohibited.
  • In an effort to minimize exposure to second-hand smoke, the use of tobacco, cannabis, and vaping products is restricted to designated areas only. These areas will be equipped with proper disposal containers to reduce litter and located away from high-traffic and communal gathering areas.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted in areas where they may affect other guests, staff, or the environment. This includes:
    • Enclosed public places and workplaces, such as communal indoor facilities, in accordance with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act.
    • Within 9 metres of entrances/exits of recreational facilities, as stipulated by the County of Prince Edward Smoking By-law No. 2818-2011.
    • Within 25 metres of playground structures, sport playing fields and courts, park facilities, as per the same by-law.
    • Forested and high-risk fire areas, to mitigate fire hazards

To accommodate those who smoke, designated smoking areas will be provided in clearly marked locations. These areas will be:

  • Equipped with proper disposal containers to reduce litter.
  • Located away from high-traffic and communal gathering areas.
  • Established to minimize exposure to second-hand smoke.

Prohibited Substances

  • The use of tobacco, cannabis, and vaping products is restricted to designated areas only.
  • The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited anywhere on-site.

Enforcement & Compliance

  • Campers must respect all posted signage and staff instructions regarding smoking.
  • Failure to comply with these rules may result in warnings, fines, or removal from the site without refund.
  • Fire safety is a top priority: Improper disposal of smoking materials (e.g., throwing cigarette butts on the ground) may result in immediate removal.

  • No campfires or open flame of any kind, with the exception of small cooking appliances with propane as the primary fuel source.
  • No fireworks, paper (floating) lanterns, incendiary devices or any type of explosive.
  • No generators of any kind, except in the RV campgrounds, with a maximum of 5 gallons of fuel. Battery packs are ok in tent camping.
  • No amplified sound systems.
  • No drones or remote-operated, and/or autonomous vehicles of any kind.
  • No tiki torches or excessive amounts of fuel.
  • No items that can be used as a means to disturb the peace, endanger the safety of nearby campers and/or inflict damage to people and goods.
  • All food must be safely stored in a locked container and/or placed in your vehicle overnight.
  • Feeding wildlife is strictly prohibited.
  • Cooking appliances are to be used under the following conditions:
    • Must use propane as the primary fuel.
    • Propane containers must not exceed 1 pound with a maximum of three 3 x 1 pound containers per campsite.
    • Only 1 cooking appliance per campsite.
    • One meter (1m) of clearance must be kept around the appliance at all times.
  • Cooking appliances may only be used from 7AM – 11PM.
  • In case of emergency, campers are to call 9-1-1. A first aid kit can be found in the Clubhouse.

CAMPING FAQS

What time can I check into my campsite?

Folks who are camping in a tent or RV can check-in between 2 PM – 6 PM. Check out no later than 11AM. More details on the check-in and check-out process will be shared closer to your camping date by email. If you are unable to arrive during the check-in window, please email [email protected].

What if I have a question or an accommodation request as it relates to accessibility?

Specific campsites have been set aside for persons with accessibility requirements. For any questions or accommodation requests, please email [email protected].

What happens if I lose my camping permit?

No problem! Please email [email protected] who can help you with reissuing your camping permit.

How are the Lawn Campsites assigned? Can I camp next to my friends?

While Preferred and Club Tent campsites can be reserved in advance, individual Lawn Tent campsites are assigned on arrival. You may not save spots for your friends. If you wish to camp beside another group, you must arrive together.
Base31 reserves the right to relocate campers to a substitute site, or area, if necessary. Please note that camping maps only provide an approximate location of campsites.
If you wish to ensure you can camp beside your friends, please consider purchasing our preferred or club option.

What is Preferred and Club camping? Why should I purchase it?

Preferred and Club tent sites are larger than the Lawn Tent option and offer the opportunity to reserve in advance. If you want to reserve a campsite next to your friends or you want to know in advance where you will be camping, please consider purchasing our Preferred or Club option.

Is parking included with my campsite?

Yes, for one or two vehicles only, depending on what type of camping option you purchase. Please note: cars will not be parked at your campsite. You will be directed to park in a designated location. Campers will have the chance to un-load their vehicle close to their site before parking their car. Additional vehicles will be charged a rate of $50 per day. RV sites include the cost of one vehicle parked on the site.

Once I park, can I leave Base31 with my vehicle?

Yes! We encourage you to explore all that Prince Edward County has to offer while camping at Base31.

Can I have more than one tent on my tent campsite?

Yes, you are allowed to have more than one tent on your site so long as it fits within your designated camping area.
No RV’s, trailer campers or pop-up campers are permitted in the tent sites.
Please consider that the site can be very windy and that all tents must be staked into the ground.

How many people does the campsite hold?

Campsite fees are per campsite, for the entire weekend, and not per person. One tent site can have up to 4-6 people and an RV site up to 8.

Is there hydro available for tent camping?

No, powered sites are only an option for RV campsites. No generators of any kind, except in the RV campgrounds with a maximum of 5 gallons of fuel. Battery packs are permitted in tent camping.

Are there showers?

Yes, showers will be available and access is included in the fee.

Is there potable water available?

Yes, bottled water will be available for sale at the Clubhouse.

Will there be food and drink available to purchase at Base31?

Food and drink will be available to purchase at The Commissary, which is a 10 minute walk from the campground. Note that any alcohol purchase at The Commissary must be consumed in The Commissary and cannot be taken back to the campground.

How do I dispose of waste?

To minimize waste, Base31 provides one garbage and one recycling bag for you to dispose of waste. While camping and upon check-out, all bags of waste are to be disposed of in their respective bins. Additional garbage and recycling bags will be made available to purchase.

Do you offer waste water pump outs?

No, please find an alternative location to pump out your RV. The closest location to Base31 is Sandbanks Provincial Park. Additional fees may apply.

What if I lose something while camping at Base31?

Lost and found will be located at the Clubhouse.

Is there Wi-Fi?

While there is public Wi-Fi located throughout the site at spaces such as Drill Hall and The Commissary, there is no Wi-Fi available within the campgrounds.
