Base31 Historical Self-Guided Tour
Learn about the history and stories of Base31 with our new Self-Guided Tour.
Tour-goers can listen to a series of collected live interviews from community members who share their personal history and stories about the site, as they walk through Base31's iconic grounds.
Narrated by Peter Lockyer (History Lives Here) and Jacqui Burley (former Property Manager of the site when it was known as Loch Sloy), the tour explores the site's creation, contribution to national history, fascinating buildings, and the lived experiences of the servicemen, women, families and community members who made this a special place throughout decades of history.
Each tour-goer will be given an Audioguide and a pair of headphones. The tour is available in both English and French, has 13 stops and takes about 60 mins to complete. Tour-goers can walk through the site, or rent bicycles and golf carts at the Base31 visitor centre.
