Paper Dyeing: Paper Flowers

Paper Dyeing: Paper Flowers

Join us for the third installation of our stunning Paper Dyeing Series. The workshop focuses on Paper Flowers. You will learn the techniques and leave with a beautiful flower. We will begin with a demo to experiment with fabric dye and learn how dye impacts the various types of paper. Using pre-cut vellum paper, we see how to dye petals to be used to create our own beautiful custom flower to take home! While our newly dyed paper dries out, we will learn step by step as I guide you through the creation of your own abstract flower. You will learn: The process of paper dying, how to create a flower center, shaping the petals, creating the leaves and how to plan out the petal placements.

Ages 18+ (kids 13+ may also buy a ticket and join with an adult)

Other notes: Bring an apron, or wear something you don’t mind getting dye on in the event it splashes. I will supply the paper, dye, dye bath trays, drying racks, plastic gloves, glue.
