What is Flashback February?
Launched in 2018 as a community engagement opportunity and economic driver, Flashback February is a month-long celebration of Prince Edward County’s rich and varied history and heritage. Held every February during the quieter winter season, Flashback February invites locals and visitors alike to explore the stories, people, and places that have shaped the County.
Through a collaborative series of talks, tours, workshops, performances, exhibits, and hands-on experiences, Flashback February shines a spotlight on the County’s heritage—its communities, industries, traditions, and evolving identity.
The initiative is built on partnership and participation. Local businesses, museums, libraries, heritage organizations, and community groups come together to offer engaging programming that brings history to life while supporting winter tourism and community connection.
In essence, Flashback February is both a celebration of the past and an invitation to experience The County in a new way.
