TRAINING PROGRAM

July 7 – September 26, 2025
This six-week, full-time training program is designed for individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, or new to the workforce.

Participants will receive technical instruction, employability workshops, and hands-on training that leads to job-ready skills and industry certifications.

Graduates will leave the program with meaningful connections, real-world experience, and clear pathways to employment or apprenticeship.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

    • Six weeks of full-time, instructor-led training
    • Optional eight-week job placement with local employers
    • Supported job search assistance
    • Wraparound support available (transportation, fuel, grocery assistance)
    • Training streams include:
        • Horticulture: Landscaping & Hardscape
        • Construction: Large Scale Projects
        • Construction: Residential
        • Environmental Sustainability in Construction & Manufacturing

UPSKILLING PROGRAM

September – October 2025
This two-day intensive training series is tailored for currently employed individuals looking to enhance their skills and advance their careers.

Courses are designed in partnership with local employers to meet emerging industry needs and promote retention, productivity, and long-term growth.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Confined Spaces
  • Intro to Facility Management
  • Intro to the Skilled Trades
  • Intro to Drone Operations
  • Intro to Land Surveying
  • Intro to Welding
  • Renewable Energy Systems
  • Zero Waste & Circular Economy
  • Basic Finishing Techniques

HOW TO APPLY

TO BE ELIGIBLE, APPLICANTS MUST:

  • Reside and/or work in Ontario
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Possess a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)

PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO IDENTIFY AS:

  • Youth (15–29)
  • Women
  • Indigenous persons
  • Racialized individuals
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Immigrants and refugees
  • Justice-involved individuals
  • International students
