The recruited job seekers will participate in customized summer and fall training programs. Whether you’re starting your career or looking to grow in your current role, this is your opportunity to build real-world skills and unlock new possibilities.
The training will be delivered by industry experts and tailored to today’s most in-demand sectors from construction and horticulture to sustainability and skilled trades. All programming is hosted at Base31, a revitalized WWII air training base, which is now a cultural destination, offering a one-of-a-kind environment for learning and development.

A LOCAL PARTNERSHIP WITH PROVINCIAL IMPACT
The training will be delivered by industry experts and tailored to today’s most in-demand sectors from construction and horticulture to sustainability and skilled trades. All programming is hosted at Base31, a revitalized WWII air training base, which is now a cultural destination, offering a one-of-a-kind environment for learning and development.
This Employment Ontario program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.
Participants will receive technical instruction, employability workshops, and hands-on training that leads to job-ready skills and industry certifications.
Graduates will leave the program with meaningful connections, real-world experience, and clear pathways to employment or apprenticeship.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

- Six weeks of full-time, instructor-led training
- Optional eight-week job placement with local employers
- Supported job search assistance
- Financial support (i.e., wraparound supports, wage subsidies, training stipends) can be provided to eligible participants and employers.

Courses are designed in partnership with local employers to meet emerging industry needs and promote retention, productivity, and long-term growth.

- Confined Space Awareness & Entry Training (Oct 2-3, 2025)
- Intro to Facility Management (Oct 6-7, 2025)
- Intro to the Skilled Trades (Oct 9-10, 2025)
- Intro to Drone Operations (Oct 13-14, 2025)
- Intro to Land Surveying (Oct 16-17, 2025)
- Intro to Welding (Oct 20-21, 2025)
- Intro to Renewable Energy Systems (Oct 23-24, 2025)
- Intro to Zero Waste Construction: The Circular Economy Using Eco-Friendly Materials (Oct 27-28, 2025)
- Basic Finishing Techniques (Oct 30-31, 2025)
HOW TO APPLY
TO BE ELIGIBLE, APPLICANTS MUST:
- Reside and/or work in Ontario
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Possess a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO IDENTIFY AS:
