SENSORY GARDEN
Currently closed. Re-opening in June.
The Sensory Garden is temporarily closed due to construction in the northwest corner of the site. We’re preparing this area for expanded public use in the weeks and months ahead as part of our ongoing efforts to breathe new life into this historic place. We look forward to welcoming you back in June.
Once reopened, the Sensory Garden offers a whimsical and engaging space designed to heighten the senses—smell, sight, taste, touch, and sound—through nature-based play. Whether you’re a child or simply young at heart, this permanent garden is a unique destination for exploration and connection with nature.
Located on the far north side of the site—left of Building 3 beside the Aviators Garden—the Sensory Garden features beautiful sensory signage and the vibrant art mural Exploring the Senses by artist Portia Chapman.
The garden is open seven days a week for unsupervised play. If you’d like to reserve a semi-private space for your celebration once it reopens, please complete the online reservation form.
Designed by Wild Child Regeneration., the Sensory Garden is a creative and joyful place for all to enjoy.
