Originally from Orillia, Megan has been enmeshed in the event industry for more than 10 years.
Upon studying event management at George Brown College, her unmistakable love for events has translated into working for a variety of venues, events, and companies including the David Foster Foundation, Evergreen Brick Works, Invictus Games, Nike, Slake Brewing, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
In 2018, Megan moved to Prince Edward County, where she founded free folk, an event styling studio and shop, combining her love of design, photography, and the natural world. While at Base31, Megan aims to create events that are moving and memorable with her approach to planning being purposeful and thoughtful. She believes events should feel cohesive and the elements should fit the space, season, and geography.
