The Dub Loons are DJ’s BTX CRVTT and Ombudsman’s house music focused project. Meeting through their shared visual art careers, they recognized each others shared passion for music and after a couple of years of exchanging musical knowledge, working on house edits of tracks both classic and obscure, as well as creating new original tunes and endless late night b2b sets together, they have united under the Dub Loons banner to push forward the house music scene in PEC.
Embracing the PLUR philosophy central to early rave culture they perform, book like-minded DJ’s, and promote events that are welcoming to everyone – carving out space for folks who want to get down together as one.

Hri Neil AKA Ombudsman has been feeding his obsession for new sounds across musical boundaries since an early age. He has taken that deep cross-genre musical knowledge in many directions over his career as a dj, playing sets focussed on everything from dub reggae to obscure soul and exotica, from dnb and jungle, and more recently exploring bouncy, deep and sunny House. As comfortable creating an atmosphere for art openings and dinner parties as he is playing a psychedelic forest festival or rinsing out at a late night club or house party, Ombudsman is passionate about telling stories through his track selections. OMBUDSMAN has been dj-ing for over 20 years, playing venues as diverse as the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (M.O.C.C.A.), the Solstice Festival (OM Reunion Project), and the Firelight Lantern Festival (Department of Illumination).

House music is a kind of playground for sample-based music to inspire dancing while also referencing musical history and enjoyment of a thunderous subwoofer with friends.
In a lot of ways, house is a perfect place to try and be communal and inspired in the moment on the dance floor, which is why you will see a lot of elements like jazz, disco, hip-hop, and even some psych blended into his sets. DJ culture for him is about musical appreciation and trying to share that appreciation in real time with the people on the dance floor.

Miss Evanesse is a Toronto-based DJ whose journey began at 14 when she fell in love with the 90’s rave scene. That early awakening ignited a lifelong passion for electronic music, dancing, and community. Erin’s sound has been deeply shaped by her winters spent in Goa, India—the birthplace of psytrance music. While she primarily plays house and techno, her sets are often infused with something a little trippy and dark. Miss Evanesse loves to play groovy, sexy, hypnotic rhythms, though her ultimate goal isn’t just to play music, but to help craft experiences that bring good friends together, letting go, and having fun.

Crate digging since the 80s, started raving in the late 90s, clubbing during my coming of age. Schooled by every DJ worth seeing from the 1990’s to 2007 when I retired from raving. After that I started collecting gear and learning to spin. Since 2011 I have been entertaining party goers. Since 2016 I’ve lived and worked from 23 countries. During this time, I’ve played venues including Village Underground – Lisbon, Gramophone – Sofia, Utopia – Koh Pha-Ngan, plus countless outdoor raves and house parties.

Moon King is the synthpop project of singer and producer Daniel Benjamin. In the early 2010’s Daniel was part of the flourishing electronic music scene in Montreal and Toronto, touring with other artists as a drummer while beginning to write and produce his own music. A 2016 move to Detroit and immersion in that city’s vibrant dance music and DJ culture began to influence his own recordings, and a collection of new material found its way back to Montreal label Arbutus Records, who offered to release it.
