Picton, ON, May 20, 2022 – PEC Community Partners Inc. is pleased to announce that Base31 is the new name for the site formerly known as Loch Sloy Business Park and Airport. Inspiration for the new name came from the sites’ former function as the Royal Airforce’s No.31 Bombing and Gunnery School.
What is old will soon be new again, at least at the site of the former Camp Picton. After sitting mostly derelict for several decades, the former air base changed hands in December 2021. Plans are already underway to transform the space, beginning with the 70 acre chunk of land that boasts multiple heritage buildings.
Plans to revitalize Loch-Sloy in Picton could be a boon for local the business community while building on the property’s remarkable legacy.

Tucked away in Picton, Prince Edward County’s largest community more than two hours east of Toronto, sits nearly 700 acres of history — history that can be bought for the price of nearly $15 million.
